The WWSF has commissioned Shawn Dunwoody, local artist, to create a William Warfield Legacy Sculpture as a tribute to this national (and local) treasure. The sculpture will be installed in the park across from the Eastman School of Music. Installation is scheduled in the fall of 2020 or spring of 2021. This is a collaboration between WWSF, the ESM, City of Rochester and Sean Dunwoody. Estimated cost of the bust is $10,000. William Warfield’s nephew Thomas Warfield has raised over $7,000 to date.
